Mechanical Manager (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineer)

Our esteemed client, an ultra-luxury resort nestled in the pristine beauty of The Maldives, is actively seeking an experienced Mechanical Manager who specialises in mechanical, electrical and plumbing to join their team. 

As a Mechanical Manager, your role is crucial in overseeing the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of building systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. You will respond to emergencies, perform routine inspections, and coordinate repairs to minimise downtime and maintain compliance with regulations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Mechanical Manager or 3 years experience in a senior engineering role at a similar 5-star luxury resort.
• Proficient in technical knowledge, tools, software, and ability to handle troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Experience working in a remote location preferred.
• Outgoing personality, team player, independent, problem-solving skills, resilience and ability to multi-task. 

Responsibilities: 

• Monitor and maintain the proper functioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure system reliability.
• Respond to operational issues, breakdowns, and emergencies promptly and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, industry standards, and local regulations.
• Operate and manage Building Management Systems (BMS) to optimize energy efficiency.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for repairs, maintenance, or system upgrades.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance.
• Apply technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical circuits, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Communicate effectively with management, staff, and external teams regarding system status and issues.
• Stay updated on advancements in MEP technology and best practices.
