Our client is a 5* luxury lifestyle hotel within an international chain. They are seeking a Bar and Floor Manager (Expat) to oversee the operations and business performance of their signature food and beverage outlet. This role will be responsible for team leadership, budgeting, guest experience, sales initiatives, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while maintaining exceptional service standards.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in Food & Beverage or hospitality-related disciplines will be considered an advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar leadership capacity within the hospitality or Food & Beverage industry.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English; proficiency in additional languages and knowledge of local languages will be an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with guests and colleagues.
  • Service-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial & Business Development

  • Support pre-opening activities and operational setup for new Food & Beverage concepts and outlets.
  • Develop and implement marketing and promotional initiatives to enhance business performance and revenue generation.
  • Collaborate closely with Culinary and Marketing teams to execute sales campaigns, promotions, and special events.
  • Develop strategic sales plans to maximise revenue opportunities and achieve business objectives.
  • Organise and support sales-related events, activations, and promotional activities.

Financial & Business Performance

  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and operating expenses.
  • Analyze monthly financial performance and identify variances against established business objectives.
  • Participate in management meetings and contribute to annual business planning.
  • Implement profit enhancement initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional departments.
  • Monitor and control food and beverage costs, labor costs, productivity, and operating expenses to ensure alignment with budget targets.
  • Prepare post-promotion evaluations and performance reports.

Food & Beverage Operations

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the outlet to ensure exceptional service standards and guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct daily briefings and maintain effective communication within the team.
  • Supervise team members to ensure operational procedures and service standards are consistently followed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, delivering personalized and memorable experiences.
  • Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, cash handling procedures, and operational requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels, equipment availability, and stock replenishment to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure health, safety, and security procedures are properly implemented.
  • Coordinate smooth handovers between shifts and provide operational support to other outlets during peak periods when required.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Participate in the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of team members.
  • Identify high-potential employees and support their professional development.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback to team members.
  • Lead and maintain training programs to enhance employee skills and support business needs.
  • Prepare staff schedules in accordance with operational demands and budget considerations.
  • Monitor team professionalism, appearance, and service standards.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment while motivating and developing the team.
  • Conduct regular departmental meetings to communicate updates, address operational challenges, and encourage employee engagement.

Administration & Reporting

  • Oversee departmental administrative processes and maintain operational records and communication logs.
  • Prepare payroll and gratuity reports.
  • Monitor operational performance and prepare monthly reports to support informed decision-making.
  • Ensure proper documentation and communication practices are maintained across the department.
