Our client is a luxury 5-star international hotel in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. They are seeking a Marketing Manager to lead, execute, and optimize the property's digital marketing, brand communications, and promotional strategies to build occupancy and drive overall hotel revenue.

The Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing all web, email, social, and online distribution channels, managing digital ad campaigns, maintaining brand messaging consistency, and tracking ROI to maximize revenue across rooms, F&B, spa, and leisure facilities.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in sales, digital marketing, or a related professional area; OR a 2-year Associate Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related major from an accredited university.
  • Strong background in digital marketing operations, including website management, email campaign tracking, performance analytics, and social media execution.
  • Proven ability to design and execute digital leisure marketing plans, targeted rate offers, online package promotions, and guest loyalty communications.
  • Sharp analytical skills to evaluate tracking reports, target market data, and campaign performance to calculate and maximise ROI.
  • Solid experience in digital media planning, agency and vendor management, content creation, and overseeing property photo shoots while maintaining strict brand standards.
  • Experience in a remote location or destination is preferred. 

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting Daily Digital & General Marketing Activities

  • Maintains, updates, and manages the property's digital platforms, ensuring all online room, F&B, spa, and recreational promotions are accurate and engaging.
  • Reviews and provides detailed analysis on website traffic, email campaign engagement, and online booking portal performance reports.
  • Develops leisure marketing plans and digital rate offers designed to drive online bookings and increase overall property occupancy.
  • Coordinates digital and print promotional offers, publications, and targeted guest loyalty communications.
  • Manages the annual marketing budget, tracking ROI on all digital ads, direct mail, social campaigns, and print advertising to guide future planning and budget reallocations.
  • Ensures a consistent property voice and brand messaging across all digital guest touchpoints, collateral, signage, and online advertising.

Utilizing Market Trends & Data to Maximize Revenue

  • Evaluates new digital marketing opportunities, ensuring the property is strongly represented on high-performing third-party websites and digital channels.
  • Analyzes market origin reports, guest demographic data, and promotional rate code performance to deliver data-driven marketing recommendations.
  • Develops comprehensive strategic marketing plans covering group, leisure, and local revenue streams.
  • Plans and supervises property photo shoots, developing shot lists aligned with brand standards and digital marketing goals.
  • Works closely with regional tourism boards and hospitality associations to expand digital reach.

Building Strategic Relationships & Sales Alignment

  • Identifies and leverages digital distribution channels to sell distress inventory and boost short-term occupancy.
  • Equips sales channels with creative, high-converting digital tools and assets to support property sales initiatives.
  • Acts as the primary liaison between corporate marketing and the property to roll out brand campaigns and maximize group marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborates with media buyers, vendors, and agencies to plan, execute, and monitor digital advertising campaigns while balancing cost and quality.
  • Assists in creating promotional campaign materials, owner presentations, and performance reporting.

Additional Marketing Responsibilities

  • Maintains detailed records of photo usage rights, digital vendor contracts, and marketing assets.
  • Ensures strict compliance with all corporate marketing and digital graphic standards.
  • Reviews and approves marketing invoices through the designated regional office.
