Senior FTTH Network Planner

We're representing a fibre business that needs a final quality gatekeeper to take control of their network planning standards. This is not a junior drafting role. You will be fixing complex GIS records, holding contractors accountable, and mentoring a team of junior planners.

The salary ranges from R480,000 to R750,000 per annum depending on experience. It is a full-time, office-based position that includes remote work flexibility.

The day to day

• Lead the review and approval of complex FTTH plans submitted by contractors against build specifications.
• Oversee the upload and management of approved plans in VetroFibre Map to ensure accurate geometry and layering.
• Audit the reconciliation of authorised plans against contractor as-builts to account for route changes or missing plant.
• Take authoritative action on incomplete, late, or poor quality monthly as-built submissions from contractors.
• Collaborate with field, Maintenance, and NOC teams to correct GIS errors and maintain live network records.

What you need to bring

• 5 to 8 years of experience in FTTH plan review, GIS capture, and as-built quality assurance.
• Expert understanding of GPON FTTH architecture, covering OLT, feeder, distribution, splitters, closures, and drops.
• Expert proficiency in VetroFibre Map and advanced capability in premises data capturing.
• The ability to interpret complex contractor spatial packs across CAD, shapefile, KML/KMZ, and PDF formats.
• The willingness to travel for critical site verifications and work extended hours when major deadlines hit.
