About the job Salesforce Consultant/Business Analyst

Salesforce Functional Consultant & Business Analyst

Location: South Africa (Remote / Hybrid)

Engagement: Permanent

Build a global Salesforce career from South Africa.

We are looking for a dual-role Business Analyst and Functional Consultant to join the country's leading Salesforce consulting partner.

In this position, you will sit at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution. Your primary challenge is to dissect complex operational workflows and translate them into scalable Salesforce solutions. You will not just be taking orders and building custom fields; you will actively guide enterprise clients toward best-in-class platform utilization.

The Career Trajectory

Joining the top-tier partner in the region provides a structural advantage for your career that standard internal roles cannot match.

  • International Project Exposure: You will work on complex, multi-cloud implementations for global enterprise clients, expanding your portfolio beyond the local market.
  • Funded Certifications: Continuous learning is a core metric of success here. The business will fund your ongoing Salesforce certifications to ensure your technical knowledge remains at the forefront of the ecosystem.
  • Defined Advancement Pathways: You will have clear, structured opportunities to progress from Senior Consultant into Solution Architecture, Delivery Leadership, or Practice Management.

What You Will Do

  • Process Architecture: Lead requirement gathering workshops with senior stakeholders to understand their business problems and operational bottlenecks.
  • Solution Design: Translate business requirements into clear user stories, process maps, and functional specifications.
  • Declarative Configuration: Build out the solution directly on the Salesforce platform using advanced declarative tools, including Flows, custom objects, and validation rules.
  • Technical Translation: Act as the primary bridge between the client's business units and the internal technical development team.
  • Change Management: Drive user adoption, conduct training sessions, and ensure the client realises the actual business value of the implementation.

What You Need to Qualify

  • The Experience: A proven track record operating as both a Business Analyst and a Functional Consultant within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • The Platform Knowledge: A deep understanding of core Salesforce architecture, specifically Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
  • The Certifications: You hold active Salesforce certifications. Expected baselines include Administrator, Business Analyst, and at least one Consultant certification (Sales or Service Cloud).
  • The Communication: Strong stakeholder management skills. You must be comfortable leading workshops, challenging bad processes, and presenting solutions to non-technical leaders.
  • The Technical Acumen: While you do not need to write Apex code, you must understand the limits of declarative configuration and know exactly when to bring in a developer.

Take the Next Step

If you are ready to stop maintaining legacy orgs and start building enterprise solutions, we want to see your profile.
