Engagement: Initial 6-Month Contract
Design the security blueprint for an international enterprise.
We are looking for a Security Architect to take on a 6-month remote contract supporting a UK-based client. In this role, you will move away from reactive compliance and checkbox exercises. You will actively design and embed secure solutions that balance business growth with rigorous risk management.
How This Role Develops Your Career
- Gain International Governance Experience: You will work directly with UK stakeholders, applying security standards across a complex, cross-border technology landscape.
- Drive Strategic Influence: You will not just audit existing systems. You will champion a "secure by design" culture, influencing delivery teams to build security into the foundation of their applications.
- Build Reusable Architecture: You will lead the creation and adoption of standardised security patterns, leaving a lasting structural impact on the client's operations.
Your Daily Architectural Impact
- Solution Design: Create secure architectures for various systems and platforms, evaluating all options for cost, time, and compliance.
- Cultural Shift: Work closely with delivery teams to build a culture that proactively identifies and manages security risks during the development phase.
- Governance and Oversight: Guide your security solutions through the relevant governance frameworks and oversee their successful delivery.
- Continuous Improvement: Review the effectiveness of existing security controls and lead programs to mature the overall security posture.
- Mentorship: Educate and support engineering teams on the changing threat landscape and the practical application of secure coding.
What You Need to Qualify
- The Core Experience: A strong, demonstrable background in security architecture with deep skills in one or more of the following areas: Secure Design and Coding, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Network Security, Security Operations, or Risk Governance.
- The Cloud Context: Practical experience working within Cloud or DevOps practices, alongside a solid understanding of application development and engineering workflows.
- The Credentials: You hold a CISSP, an equivalent security certification, or possess a highly demonstrable track record of equivalent industry experience.
- The Stakeholder Skills: You have the ability to analyze problems from multiple perspectives, build consensus, and grow relationships with both highly technical teams and business leaders.
