Most contract roles ask you to fit into an existing structure. This role asks you to create it. We are looking for a Salesforce Communications Cloud expert to lead a critical infrastructure project for a UK-based telecommunications provider.

You will be the architect behind the digital systems that bring high-speed broadband to rural communities across the UK. Whether you are a Solutions Architect, Technical Lead, or Delivery Lead, if you know Comms Cloud, this is your platform to lead.

Why This Contract is Different

You Control the Hiring You will not be inheriting a legacy team. You will have the budget and authority to hire your own support unit, including a Developer/Consultant and a Test Lead. You will build the team that delivers results, choosing the people you work best with.

You Own the Solution You will be the primary authority on the project. You will bridge the gap between the UK client's commercial needs and the technical build, designing a solution that handles complex telco processes.

You Get Stability and Flexibility This is an initial 6-month contract, but the scope of the rollout suggests a much longer engagement. It is a rare opportunity to secure a stable, long-term international contract while working from South Africa.

What You Will Deliver

• Technical Strategy: You will be the subject matter expert for Salesforce Communications Cloud (Vlocity). You will set the standards and guide the technical direction.
• End-to-End Delivery: You will manage the full lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Team Leadership: You will mentor your small pod of specialists, providing code reviews and architectural guidance.
• Client Consulting: You will work directly with UK stakeholders to translate business goals into technical reality.

What You Need to Qualify

• The Niche Skill: You must have proven experience implementing Salesforce Communications Cloud (Vlocity). This is essential. You need to understand the specific data models of the telco industry.
• The Background: You have a strong history in Salesforce architecture, with experience in Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
• The Experience: You have led small technical teams or managed the end-to-end delivery of Salesforce projects previously.
• The Certification: A Salesforce Communications Cloud accreditation is highly preferred.
