About the job Software Quality Control Assistant
Roles and responsibilities
- Identify, mitigate, and prevent potential production issues early in the development process
- Learn and comprehend product features to develop a clear, detailed understanding of product testing requirements
- Perform various regression testing processes (feature qc, platform qc, bulk test, completeness test, interruption test, resource usage test, network connection test, translation testing, etc.)
- Collaborate with leads and other team members to determine testing priorities, effort estimates, and track and report progress
- Write regression test plans, test cases, and usage scenarios to be used for testing and other documentations as required
- Prepare the test environment and test data
- Assist in the implementation of testing improvement initiatives, such as automated testing
- Consolidate test results into clear and concise reports
- Create and track tickets for issues on functionality, usability, performance, reliability, and stability issues
- Work closely with test designers to report and verify any functional issues discovered during testing
Required Experience
- Prior experience not required,onsite training shall be provided
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
Preferred Experience
- Experience in working in a software development project or environment
- Experience in using mobile devices, specifically iOS (iPads, iPhones), Android (tablets, phones), Windows (desktop, Surface Pro) and / or Mac (MacBook, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac Mini, iMac, Mac Pro)
- Experience in any software quality control processes and procedures
- Exposure to software / hardware / network technologies
Skill requirements
- Diploma or Certificate in Computer Science / Engineering / Programming, Information Technology, Information Systems related course; or Bachelors degree in any course but willing to pursue a career in IT
- A proactive, resilient individual with a positive attitude who is motivated to succeed
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, accuracy and attention to details
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
