Key Responsibilities:

  1. Purchasing & Procurement:
    • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, components, and other goods.
    • Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms, prices, and contracts.
    • Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standards and delivery schedules.
    • Manage purchase orders, track shipments, and resolve any issues related to delayed or incomplete deliveries.
  2. Transportation & Logistics:
    • Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods from suppliers to warehouses and from warehouses to customers.
    • Work with logistics providers to optimize transportation routes and minimize costs while ensuring timely deliveries.
    • Oversee the management of inbound and outbound freight, including customs clearance and documentation.
    • Address any transportation issues, such as delays or damage, and resolve them efficiently.
  3. Warehouse Management:
    • Supervise warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products.
    • Ensure inventory accuracy by implementing effective stock management systems and conducting regular audits.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with safety regulations.
    • Monitor and improve warehouse processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operating costs.
  4. Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and logistics partners.
    • Collaborate with internal teams, including production, quality control, and customer service, to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
    • Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on supply chain performance, potential issues, and improvements.
  5. Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings.
    • Prepare reports on key performance metrics, such as inventory levels, transportation costs, and supplier performance.
    • Make data-driven decisions to improve supply chain processes and reduce lead times.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics.
  • 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management, purchasing, transportation, or warehouse operations.
  • Proven experience in negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor relationships.
  • Strong understanding of logistics, transportation, and inventory management principles.
  • Proficiency in supply chain software and systems (e.g., ERP, WMS).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Experience in the mattress or furniture manufacturing industry.
