Key Responsibilities:
- Purchasing & Procurement:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, components, and other goods.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms, prices, and contracts.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standards and delivery schedules.
- Manage purchase orders, track shipments, and resolve any issues related to delayed or incomplete deliveries.
- Transportation & Logistics:
- Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods from suppliers to warehouses and from warehouses to customers.
- Work with logistics providers to optimize transportation routes and minimize costs while ensuring timely deliveries.
- Oversee the management of inbound and outbound freight, including customs clearance and documentation.
- Address any transportation issues, such as delays or damage, and resolve them efficiently.
- Warehouse Management:
- Supervise warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products.
- Ensure inventory accuracy by implementing effective stock management systems and conducting regular audits.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with safety regulations.
- Monitor and improve warehouse processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and logistics partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including production, quality control, and customer service, to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on supply chain performance, potential issues, and improvements.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Prepare reports on key performance metrics, such as inventory levels, transportation costs, and supplier performance.
- Make data-driven decisions to improve supply chain processes and reduce lead times.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics.
- 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management, purchasing, transportation, or warehouse operations.
- Proven experience in negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor relationships.
- Strong understanding of logistics, transportation, and inventory management principles.
- Proficiency in supply chain software and systems (e.g., ERP, WMS).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Experience in the mattress or furniture manufacturing industry.
