Junior Design Engineer

Job Title: Junior Design Engineer – HVAC or Mechanical Engineering

Job Summary: A well-known engineering solutions company is seeking a Junior Design Engineer to join its mechanical design team. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer looking to build hands-on experience in HVAC and mechanical design, working under the guidance of senior engineers on real client projects from concept through execution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC (Air Conditioning & Refrigeration) Engineering.
• Specialized courses in design software are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Receive project requirements from the direct supervisor and review the basic technical data needed to start work.
2. Support the design team in preparing appropriate technical solutions for projects in line with client requirements and approved specifications.
3. Assist in preparing and reviewing load calculations, system selection, and technical components under the direct supervisor's guidance.
4. Prepare and update master drawings and assist in preparing As-Built drawings in line with approved modifications.
5. Coordinate with warehouses and relevant parties regarding materials and equipment required for the project, as directed.
6. Assist in preparing and reviewing quantity schedules, drawings, and technical proposals before issuance.
7. Ensure that proposed technical solutions align with project requirements and the direct supervisor's guidance.

9. Coordinate with the supply chain regarding materials or technical alternatives when needed, within the scope of work.
10. Support the Sales Department in preparing the data or technical outputs required for proposals and projects.
11. Coordinate with the Operations Department to follow up on any technical remarks or modifications related to implementation.
12. Update files, references, and the technical library related to drawings, products, and specifications.
13. Review recurring technical remarks and use them to improve the accuracy and quality of technical outputs.
14. Adhere to the approved work plan and complete required technical tasks within the specified time and quality standards.
15. Develop technical knowledge and practical skills through direct guidance and continuous on-the-job learning.
16. Prepare and submit reports or technical updates required by the direct supervisor, as per standard procedure.

Required experience:

• 1-2 years of experience in HVAC systems design.
• Experience in preparing load calculations and selecting suitable equipment.
• Experience in preparing BOQs, drawings, and technical proposals.
• Experience in reviewing and revising drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Proficient in HAP, Elite, or similar software.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP or equipment-selection software is preferred.
• Proficient in computer use and related office systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, as required by the role.
• Proficient in Arabic and English (reading, writing, and speaking).
