Job Summary:

AYS Inc is seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Development Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with youth and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young people. This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week, with the potential for occasional evening and weekend hours.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities and programs for children and teens

- Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all youth participants

- Build relationships with youth and serve as a positive role model and mentor

- Collaborate with other staff members to plan and coordinate program events and field trips

- Maintain accurate records and documentation of youth attendance and program activities

- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on youth participation and progress

- Assist in the supervision and management of youth during program hours

- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities

- Adhere to all AYS Inc policies and procedures, including safety protocols and code of conduct

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in social work, education, or related field preferred

- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with youth in a professional setting

- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work well in a team and independently

- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed

- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

- Pass a criminal background check and drug screening
