Job Overview
We are looking for a Payroll Specialist with hands-on experience in Philippines payroll processing and a good understanding of local labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements. This role involves end-to-end payroll processing while ensuring compliance with regulations. You will also have regional exposure, working with payroll operations across different countries.
Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll for the Philippines, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local regulations.
- Ensure statutory compliance with Philippine labor laws, tax regulations, and government contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR).
- Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees and clients, providing clear and accurate resolutions.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection laws.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth payroll processing and accurate reporting.
- Stay updated on payroll best practices and proactively suggest improvements in payroll operations.
- Support regional payroll processes as needed, assisting with payroll in other APAC countries.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business, HR, Accounting, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of payroll experience in the Philippines, including tax and statutory contributions processing.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine labor law and payroll regulations.
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify payroll discrepancies and resolve issues effectively.
Proficient in English both written and spoken.
