Job Description: Registered General Nurse (RGN) at Horton Cross Nursing Home

We are seeking an experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join our team at Horton Cross Nursing Home. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.

Responsibilities:

• Assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating nursing care for residents.
• Ensuring all medical records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and professional standards.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by a doctor or according to the home's policies.
• Providing emotional support to residents and their families.
• Managing a patients healthcare plan according to the Physicians instructions
  
• Checking temperature, blood pressure, pulse and other vital signs
  
• Administering and maintaining a record of all prescribed medication
  
• Checking for infection, bedsores and wounds in the patient
  
• Educating and advising Caregivers in the household
  
• Dressing or redressing wounds and assessing the progress of healing
  
• Developing and improving the healthcare plan in collaboration with other healthcare personnel in the household
  
• Providing palliative care as needed to keep the patient comfortable
  
• Make recommendations for devices ot tools that might improve the patients quality of life
