RMN Nurse

Job Description: Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) at Llanarth Court

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) to join our team at Llanarth Court. This position will provide direct care to individuals with mental health issues, as well as provide leadership and support to other team members.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments of patients mental health needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration, psychological interventions, and crisis management.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plan accordingly.
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
• Building relationships with patients to determine their preferences
• Administering medication and treatments
• Monitoring patients' conditions to ensure they follow the treatment plan a doctor has prescribed
• dealing with specific symptoms that can accompany mental health conditions, such as behavioural issues and personality changes
• De-escalating challenging situations for patients to maintain a protective environment
• Managing patient records to ensure good organisation onwards
• Hosting group or one-on-one therapy sessions
• Providing physical support to patients, such as by cleaning rooms, changing beds or assisting with daily tasks
• Communicating with patients' families about treatment progress, diagnoses and recovery plans
• Collaborating with doctors, nurses and psychiatrists to fulfil patient treatment plans
