Key Responsibilities

- Instrumentation Design and Development:

- Design, develop, and test instrumentation and control systems for industrial processes.

- Specify and select components such as controllers, transmitters, sensors, and actuators to ensure optimal performance.

- Procurement Oversight:

- Lead the procurement process for instrumentation and control components, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.

- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to evaluate options and negotiate terms.

- Control System Implementation:

- Create detailed schematics, diagrams, and layouts using CAD software for control systems.

- Develop and implement control strategies through PLC programming, DCS programming, or SCADA systems.

- Collaboration and Project Management:

- Work closely with project managers, clients, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely and budget-friendly project delivery.

- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed projects.

- Quality Assurance and Compliance:

- Review and approve design documents, including specifications, calculations, and drawings.

- Ensure all systems adhere to relevant codes, standards, and regulations such as ISA, IEC, and NEC.

- Technical Support and Leadership:

- Provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians, fostering knowledge-sharing and skill development.

- Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in instrumentation and control technologies.

Requirements

- Educational Background:

- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience:

- Minimum of 5 years in instrumentation and control system design, implementation, and analysis.

- Experience with industrial processes and equipment such as pumps, motors, and valves is an advantage.

- Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in CAD software for designing control systems.

- Expertise in PLC programming, DCS programming, or SCADA systems.

- Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.

- Additional Qualifications:

- Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively.
