Overview

The Revenue Operations Specialist is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of revenue-related data, forecasting, and reporting across the organization. The role acts as the central coordination point between Business Development, Sales, Delivery, Project Management, and Finance to ensure reliable revenue visibility. 

By maintaining accurate data, producing actionable insights, and improving processes through automation and reporting optimization, this role strengthens forecast accuracy, operational governance, and leadership visibility into business performance and growth opportunities. 

The ideal candidate brings strong commercial awareness, analytical rigor, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Data Management & Reporting

  • Record, validate, and maintain accurate revenue data on a daily basis
  • Maintain up-to-date revenue trackers, pipeline reports, dashboards, and performance metrics
  • Prepare recurring and ad-hoc revenue reports and dashboards for leadership and business stakeholders
  • Monitor data quality and ensure consistency across systems and reporting tools

Revenue Forecasting & Modeling

  • Design, maintain, and improve revenue forecasting models aligned with pipeline, delivery, and capacity planning
  • Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to support strategic decisions
  • Analyze historical data, market trends, and operational indicators to improve forecast accuracy
  • Collaborate with Finance and Sales Leadership to validate assumptions and align on business outlook
  • Support quarterly and annual planning cycles through revenue analysis and forecasting insights

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Business Development, Sales, Project Management, Delivery, and Finance to validate revenue information and project milestones
  • Facilitate regular review sessions to reconcile revenue data and ensure reporting accuracy
  • Serve as the key liaison across departments for revenue reporting and forecasting activities

Business Insights & Analytics

  • Analyze revenue trends, operational risks, and growth opportunities to support business performance
  • Support management reporting through meaningful analytics, presentations, and business commentary

Process Ownership & Continuous Improvement

  • Support end-to-end revenue operations processes with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and governance
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and reporting standards
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks and improve operational efficiency
  • Drive adoption and effective utilization of CRM, reporting, and BI platforms

Scope and Authority

  • Owns the accuracy and integrity of organizational revenue data and reporting
  • Escalates risks, inconsistencies, and forecast variances to relevant stakeholders when required
  • Has no direct reports; influences outcomes through cross-functional coordination rather than direct authority

Person Specifications

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related discipline

Experience

  • 3–5 years in Revenue Operations, Business Analysis, Finance, or Sales Operations
  • Experience in revenue forecasting, business planning, and performance analytics
  • Exposure to CRM platforms (Salesforce, Pipedrive, HubSpot, or similar) preferred
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau is an advantage
  • Experience in a fast-paced technology, consulting, or services-driven environment preferred

Technical Competencies

  • Advanced Excel skills, including forecasting, scenario modeling, and data analysis
  • Proficiency in Power BI and data visualization/presentation tools
  • Strong understanding of revenue operations, reporting methodologies, and forecasting principles
  • Ability to interpret complex data and convert it into actionable recommendations
