RESPONSIBILITIES

Requirement Analysis, Backlog Creation, Solution Designing and Documentation:

  • Perform software requirement elicitation by identifying stakeholders for elicitation of requirements, engaging identified stakeholders in the elicitation of requirements
  • Negotiating conflicts among stakeholders during elicitation
  • Perform Product Backlog Grooming, Requirement Analysis, Backlog Creation and Documentation of Functional Requirement Specification
  • Perform JIRA User Story creation and related requirement recording activities
  • Liaise closely with the project team during project implementation to ensure clear understanding of project requirements and to facilitate any requirement related clarifications
  • Perform Analysis and solutioning of requirements
  • Perform a verification cycle of new developments to ensure match to requirement
  • Participate and provide required support during the project UATs
  • Follow and adhere to SCRUM process related activities
    Perform User Manual Creation, User Training and Knowledge Transfers
  • Demonstrate the ability to grasp respective domain knowledge with ease and provide a fast output
  • Demonstrate the ability to take up a mentoring role to assist ABA / BA to produce quality artifacts

Handling Client Communications & Pre-Sales:

  • Preparation of product presentations, brochures and other marketing materials
  • Performing product presentations and product demos to clients
  • Perform pre-sales activities involving proposal preparation and RFP responses
  • Perform product demonstrations and contribute to winning the project through consultation initiatives

Lead Responsibilities:

  • Lead and be responsible for the entire requirements management process within a project(s) Ownership of BA process
  • Proactively engage in having a detailed understanding of the overall scope of the project and managing scope related changes effectively
  • Responsible to provide estimates for requirements elicitation, documentation and review activities
  • Perform reviews of documentation for consistency and accuracy (Peer reviews / Cross Functional Lead reviews)
  • Contribute to the SME Review Panel by performing SME reviews of documentation to ensure quality and adherence to best practices
  • Lead on the on-boarding/roll-off activities for Business Analyst resources who join or leave the project team
  • Perform mentoring activities to groom junior BAs on BA best practices
  • Lead and be responsible for striking a good balance between setting the project BA team up for ultimate success from a project execution standpoint whilst ensuring that each Business Analyst has the opportunity to grow as individuals on the project
  • Perform mentoring activities to groom Lead BA resources

Consultancy:

  • Perform architecting of business solutions
  • Support and contribute towards Delivery management
  • Perform in the role of product management by owning a product portfolio and managing the product solutions and ownership
  • Build and maintain Domain knowledge related to one's portfolio
  • Perform the alignment of a product within a specific domain with the business trends / forecasts and take the Business stakeholder through a product journey to fulfill the business objectives
  • Senior management reflection on the relevant product portfolio(s) - Functionality delivery aspects, product improvement points at organization level, process improvement points
  • Support relevant parties towards the marketing strategy within one's portfolio
  • Supporting towards strategic planning for the Product portfolio

Best Practice Building & Management:

  • Create and execute workshop sessions on BA best practices
  • Perform Tech Talks
  • Contribute towards creating and improving the BA best practices
  • Contribute towards creating artifacts related to BA practices
  • Creating artifacts related to BA practices in alignment to industry standard best practices
  • Managing and grooming a subset of BAs - ABA/SBA
  • Contribute towards maximizing reusability across multiple projects
    Perform and provide an active contribution towards BA CEG activities and initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS/ KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE

Qualification

  • Degree BSc in IT/ Computer Science/ Physical Science/ Telecommunication or relevant professional qualification
  • MBA / MSc in IT as an added advantage

Experience

  • 10 to 15-year(s) experience in software Business Analysis
