Key Responsibilities
Bill Operations Support (L2 Support)
- Provide L2 application support for Huawei CBS and related BSS systems
- Perform incident management, problem management, and service request handling as per SLA
- Troubleshoot billing issues, charging failures, mediation inconsistencies, and data discrepancies
- Monitor billing jobs, batch processing, and reconciliation processes
- Ensure timely resolution and escalation of production issues.
System Monitoring & Operations
- Monitor system health, alarms, and batch job executions
- Perform log analysis and troubleshooting across application layers
- Ensure high availability and performance of billing platforms
- Support deployment and release activities, including rollback if required
Governance & ITIL Process Adherence
- Adhere to ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Release Management)
- Participate in CAB/IOC discussions and change planning activities
- Maintain proper documentation, RCA reports, and operational runbooks
Stakeholder & Customer Interaction
- Work closely with business, operations, and vendor teams
- Provide status updates, incident communication, and reporting
- Participate in customer calls and governance meetings
Person Specifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent
- 3–5 years of experience in telecom billing systems / application support
- Minimum 2 years of customer-facing/support experience in a managed services environment
- Experience in Huawei CBS (Convergent Billing System) or similar telco billing platforms
- Hands-on experience in billing operations, charging flows, and product configuration
- Good knowledge of Linux/Unix systems (commands, troubleshooting)
- Strong SQL skills (querying, data validation, troubleshooting)
- Experience in log analysis and batch job monitoring
- Understanding of end-to-end telecom BSS architecture (CRM, Billing, Mediation, Charging)
- Strong understanding of telecom billing concepts:
- Prepaid/Postpaid charging
- Rating and mediation
- Billing cycles and invoicing
- Experience working in ITIL-driven support environments
- Familiarity with SLA/KPI-driven managed services operations
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in a 24x7 support environment (if required)
- Good communication and stakeholder (client) management skills
- High level of ownership and accountability
Nice To Have
- Prior experience in telco operators or telecom vendors (Huawei, Ericsson, etc.) is preferred
- Prior experience in Huawei CBS Billing Operations is preferred
- Experience with automation or scripting (Shell/Python)
- Exposure to microservices, containers (Docker/Kubernetes) is an advantage
- Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices is a plus
