Axia Recruitment is proud to partner with St Giles to find their next Occupational Therapist with an interest in Mobility & Seating.
Location: Tasmania (flexible if Hobart or Launceston)
Employment Status: Full-time (38 hours per week)
Salary: $89,678 - $107,918 (based on experience and classification level)
Position Summary: As a Mobility & Seating Clinician, you will provide clinical postural measurements, design, quoting, manufacturing, modification, and fitting services that enhance the lives of St Giles clients. You will work as part of the Assistive Technology Team, collaborating with seating technicians and other therapists to achieve positive outcomes for clients.
If you are an experienced occupational therapist but do not currently have specific training or knowledge within seating and mobility, professional development opportunities are available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct clinical postural measurements and provide equipment recommendations.
- Design, manufacture, modify, and fit mobility and seating devices.
- Work collaboratively during assessments and reviews to ensure equipment safety and compatibility.
- Maintain confidential client records and complete relevant reports.
- Stay informed about new assistive technologies and products.
- Participate in team meetings and manage clinical caseloads effectively.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications and registration with AHPRA.
- Post-graduate qualification in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy.
- Current Unrestricted Tasmanian Drivers Licence.
- Satisfactory National Police Check, NDIS Worker Screening, and Working with Vulnerable People Check.
Desirable:
- Experience in seating and postural support.
- Ability to work with clients with high and complex needs.
- Experience in a multi-disciplinary team and knowledge of the Disability Services Sector.
