Axia Recruitment is proud to partner with a local council to find a passionate and skilled Development Engineer to join their collaborative engineering team. Your New Role

As a Development Engineer, you will:

  • Assess and manage land development engineering referrals, focusing on stormwater, traffic, and flooding considerations.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure construction compliance with required standards.
  • Handle applications and permits for road reserves in line with policies and standards.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, providing clear and concise engineering advice.

What You Need to Succeed

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • A bachelors degree in civil engineering with at least two years of experience in a relevant role (local government experience advantageous).
  • Strong knowledge of local government infrastructure assets and technical requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and build relationships.
  • High-level computer proficiency and a valid driver's license.
