Fairbrother is seeking suitably qualified and experienced Project Managers to join their team in both Tasmania and Victoria. As a Project Manager at Fairbrother, you will provide leadership to the Project Management Team and oversee the successful completion of projects, ensuring they meet or exceed health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritise health and safety, developing and owning the Project Management Plan.
  • Lead the implementation of risk controls for high and extreme-risk tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC) and Australian Standards.
  • Manage quality by developing and adhering to inspection and test plans.
  • Lead environmental management efforts, promoting sustainable practices.
  • Guide and mentor the Project Management Team to meet performance expectations.
  • Foster positive relationships and maintain effective communication with the project team.
  • Ensure compliance with Fairbrother policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • Continuously improve processes to maintain best practices and competitive advantage.
  • Prepare accurate estimates and quotes for new work opportunities.
  • Develop and implement effective work plans for allocated projects.
  • Monitor and manage project progress, budgets, and financial performance.
  • Appoint and manage subcontractors, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
  • Oversee labour utilisation and productivity, ensuring expectations are met.

Position Criteria:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies and operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
  • Hold a Car Drivers License and WHS for Managers and Supervisors certification.
  • Diploma of Project Management (desirable).
  • Ability to lead and influence teams, with strong communication skills.
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and time management abilities.
  • Strong cost control techniques and computer literacy.
  • Ability to adapt and perform under pressure to meet project demands.
