Fairbrother is seeking qualified Site Managers to join their team in both Tasmania and Victoria. In this role, you will manage allocated construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that each project meets or exceeds health, safety, quality, and environmental standards. Youll work alongside a talented and dedicated team while leading projects to success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritise health and safety, striving for zero Lost Time Incidents (LTIs).
- Identify hazards, mitigate risks, and prevent workplace incidents.
- Implement effective quality control techniques and ensure projects meet quality standards.
- Lead by example in safety, quality, and environmental practices.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to the on-site team to achieve performance goals.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including Contract Managers, Project Managers, and Subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with Fairbrother policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
- Seek continuous improvements and cost-effective solutions for project success.
- Develop and manage a construction program for allocated projects.
- Manage labour utilisation and productivity, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities.
- Oversee the procurement of equipment and materials within budgetary guidelines.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure service level agreements are met.
- Manage plant and equipment, ensuring maintenance and recommending purchases when required.
- Keep detailed records in line with administrative requirements.
Position Criteria:
- Minimum of 12 years experience in commercial construction.
- Thorough knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
- Hold a Basic Scaffolding High Risk License, Certificate III in Carpentry/Joinery (or relevant Trade Certificate), Certificate III in Work Health & Safety, Chief Warden, Car Drivers License, Provide First Aid & CPR, White Card, WHS for Managers and Supervisors, and Work Safely at Heights certifications.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve project outcomes and lead teams effectively.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Excellent planning, organisation, and time management abilities.
- Effective cost control techniques and computer literacy.
- Ability to handle project demands and work under pressure.
