Job Overview: We are looking for a seasoned Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strong background in the technology sector to lead our financial operations. This role is crucial for a company involved in both product sales and service delivery on a recurring and project basis. The CFO will be responsible for strategic financial planning, management of financial risks, and overseeing the financial reporting in both the United States and Pakistan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop financial strategies tailored to the technology sector, particularly for companies dealing with both products and services.
- Handle complex costing models for product development, recurring services, and project-based work.
- Analyze financial performance and trends in the tech industry, making recommendations for cost-effective operations.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations in both the United States and Pakistan, adapting strategies to diverse regulatory environments.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, incorporating the unique aspects of technology products and services.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the executive management team.
- Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets, consolidation, and reporting to the Company.
- Implement and maintain robust financial systems and controls to support the growth and complexity of a technology-focused business.
- Oversee the preparation and approval of all financial reporting materials and metrics for funding organizations and the board of directors; prepare and communicate monthly and annual financial statements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
- Professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA, or similar) is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of financial experience and management experience with the day-to-day financial operations of an organization of at least 50 staff internationally.
- Substantial experience in the technology sector, especially in companies with both products and services.
- In-depth understanding of the unique financial challenges in the technology sector, including project-based billing, subscription models, and R&D costing.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in managing teams across different geographic locations and time zones.
- Proficiency in financial management software, ideally with experience in systems relevant to the technology industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Urdu language skills are a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Based in Pakistan with occasional international travel, mainly to the United States.
- Flexibility in working hours to accommodate international time zones.
