VACANCY: EU Business Development Manager
REPORTING TO: Commercial Director

Starlite Aviation Operations (Pty) Ltd is seeking a dynamic EU Business Development Manager to drive client expansion efforts, strategic partnerships, monitor market trends, and fuel company growth.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, identifying strategic opportunities, and providing operational support for the implementation of major projects.
Based in Europe, this role will facilitate seamless communication and service delivery between Europe and Africa.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREA:
1. Building networks and relationships
- Spearheaded efforts to cultivate and expand client relationships in Europe, fostering trust and loyalty.
- Engage with state military and civilian customers, national security and defense players, and European entities involved in crisis management and security.
- Establish and maintain connections with international stakeholders to drive business expansion.
2. Strategic Structuring in the Aeronautics Industry
- Participate in strategic think tanks to inform decision-making.
- Support the implementation of the company's strategic plan by providing valuable insights and guidance.
3. Identification, Evaluation, and Qualification of Targets:
- Identify and evaluate potential partners and targets aligned with the strategic plan.
- Facilitate one-off project partnerships, medium- to long-term partnerships, and potential acquisitions.
4. Operational Support:
- Identify growth markets and promote Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) initiatives.
- Lead the implementation of major projects and manage specific partnerships, equity investments, and acquisitions.
CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (French advantageous)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
- Strong organisation and project management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail.
- Required domestic and international travel.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
The following is essential for this position:
- Bachelors degree in business management, marketing or related field; or demonstrated understanding of marketing linked to business operations.
- 5 7 years relevant experience in sales, marketing, business development or similar field preferably within the aviation industry
- Domestic and International Travel.
