VACANCY: HR ASSISTANT
REPORTING TO: GROUP HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
LOCATION: DURBAN
Starlite Aviation Group has a requirement for a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Assistant to fill this position in its
Durban office. This role is crucial in supporting the HR departments daily operations and ensuring the smooth running of HR-related processes.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide assigned administration and day-to-day support to the HR department.
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new employees across the Starlite Group/CRI Group.
- Update Onboarding and Offboarding, and HR Systems on a weekly basis.
- Assisting with the administration of employee benefits programs.
- Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee compensation.
- Manage and send daily Staff Communications as required.
- Maintain employee records (physical and digital), update HR databases and systems, and manage personnel files.
- Assist with assigned staff rosters.
- Staying informed about changes in labour laws and regulations to ensure the organisation remains in compliance.
- Assist with the preparation of annual Employment Equity Reports.
- Assist with the preparation of annual Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) / Annual Training Report (ATR) submissions.
- Assist with BBBEE Compliance Audits.
- Assist with Company Year End Audits.
- Assist with facilitating team-building exercises and long service awards.
- Assist with HR-related documents for tender/bid submissions for the Starlite Group/CRI Group.
- Assist and participate in any HR-related projects and initiatives where required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The following list of qualifications is essential to fill the position:
- Grade 12
- Degree / Diploma in Human Resources or relevant qualification (advantageous).
- ± 2 years proven experience in an HR-related role (advantageous).
- Ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
- Proficient in various computer-related software including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint) and Share Point.
