Summary

Investigation, Development, Presenting Themes, Project Management, Budgeting, Scheduling, Installation, Start-up functions, Training, Document Development (Ops Stds, PMs, PQCT Etc) of newly installed, line movement, re-build of equipment pertaining to the machining of Cast Iron Castings. Review new Technologies in Machining Functions for overall improvements in Safety, Quality, Manpower Efficiencies and Cost.

Essential Duties

  • Interpret technical documentation including blueprints, schematics, drawings, and system reports
  • Partner with engineers and cross-functional teams to implement procedures, resolve system issues, and provide technical expertise
  • Evaluate customer designs, specifications, and data to assess feasibility, cost, performance, and maintenance requirements
  • Design, modify, install, operate, and maintain mechanical systems, equipment, and processes in alignment with engineering standards
  • Diagnose equipment and system failures; recommend and implement corrective design or maintenance actions
  • Support product and structural design through CAD and drafting collaboration
  • Lead and oversee equipment installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Conduct research, modeling, and testing of equipment, components, and alternate designs to evaluate performance and applications
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor production activities, including manufacturing methods, fabrication, and operational execution
  • Develop cost estimates, manage budgets, support bids, and prepare engineering and contract documentation
  • Supervise technical and production staff and contribute to evaluation and performance programs
  • Identify new business opportunities while delivering technical customer support
  • Establish and manage maintenance, safety procedures, service schedules, and material requirements
  • Analyze industrial processes to determine effective equipment application
  • Define performance requirements and apply engineering principles to emerging technologies
  • Design test apparatus, develop testing procedures, and support Health & Safety objectives

Qualifications 

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

  • Education: Minimum of 5 years of experience in machining or manufacturing engineering roles.

  • Skills: Proficiency in CAD software and familiarity with engineering principles. Proficiency in CNC programming and G-Code to write CNC programs.

  • Other:
