SUMMARY
Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe or electrical systems. The schedule is 12 days on 2 days off. Monday-Friday are 10 hour shifts and weekends are scheduled for 12 hour shift.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Inspect and test machinery and equipment for proper operation.

Listen for unusual noises to identify issues and troubleshoot problems.

Dismantle equipment to repair or replace faulty parts.

Install new or repaired components.

Clean and lubricate gears, bearings, shafts, and other machine parts.

Install and repair electrical systems, including wiring, transformers, and electronic components.

Build, install, and maintain piping systems, along with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

Repair or replace gauges, valves, regulators, and similar devices.

Perform repairs and upkeep on the facility's physical structure.

Install, program, and repair automated machinery.

Use machine tools to make or fix parts, tools, jigs, and fixtures.

Operate welding and cutting equipment.

Fabricate and repair metal or machine components as needed.

Perform routine maintenance tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One-year certificate from college or technical school, or two (2) to four (4) years related experience and high school diploma or G.E.D., or equivalent combination of education and experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the member is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The member is frequently exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals. The member is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, risk of radiation, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the member is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The member frequently is required to stand, walk, and climb or balance. The member is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
