Summary

Perform engineering duties in planning and designing tools, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment. Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of such equipment. Create and revise processes and process controls as well as quality and quality instrumentation.

Essential Functions

  • Interpret and apply blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and system-generated reports
  • Collaborate with engineers and technical teams to implement operating procedures, resolve system issues, and provide technical guidance
  • Analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and supporting data to assess feasibility, cost, performance, and maintenance needs 
  • Specify system components and guide product modifications to ensure compliance with engineering design and performance standards
  • Design, install, operate, and maintain mechanical equipment, systems, and processes using established engineering principles
  • Investigate equipment failures and operational issues; diagnose root causes and recommend corrective actions
  • Develop and support product and system designs using CAD tools and drafting software
  • Provide structured feedback to design engineers based on customer challenges and operational requirements
  • Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair activities to ensure equipment functions to specification
  • Conduct research and testing to evaluate feasibility, design, performance, and operation of equipment and system components
  • Recommend and validate design improvements to prevent or resolve system or equipment malfunctions
  • Develop and test alternative designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating conditions, and potential applications
  • Coordinate and monitor production activities, including manufacturing methods, fabrication, and product operation
  • Supervise production staff, technicians, technologists, and engineers; contribute to evaluation and performance programs
  • Establish and manage maintenance schedules, safety procedures, and material supply requirements
  • Analyze industrial processes to determine appropriate equipment application
  • Define performance requirements for product development and engineering projects
  • Support and achieve company and departmental Health and Safety objectives

EducationAssociates Degree in Engineering along with experience is required. Bachelor's Degree is Preferred.

Experience:

  • Engineering: 2 years (Required)
  • Mechanical Troubleshooting: 2 years (Required)
  • Induction Furnaces: 2 years (Required)
