OB/GYN Medical Assistant – Athens

 

• medical assistant at an OB/GYN practice. Duties include: greeting and taking back patients, getting weight, blood pressures and heart tones, answering phone calls, ordering and recording labs, scheduling surgeries and mammograms, handling referrals, some triage phone work

 

• We are looking for a team player with GREAT customer service. Previous experience as a medical assistant preferred, EMR strongly preferred (NextGen a plus).

 

• Preferred to be Registered or Certified MA w/ OB/GYN Experience

 

• Mature candidate desired

 

• Benefits include:  Health insurance after 90 days – Company pays 2/3 of the employee only option (Ex. Individual only $84 biweekly – Employee responsibility)

 

• 401K after 1 year of employment – matches up to 4%

 

• 12 days of PTO/sick time – 1^st year

 

• Office size – 1 Physician, 1 Nurse Practitioner, 2 Medical Assistants (1 is leaving Aug 31^st), 2 Front office, 1 Billing, 1 Practice Manager, and 1 Ultrasound technologist

 

• 32 hours weekly; Mon, Tues, Thurs 8:30am – 5pm, (Wed 8:30am – 12noon, Friday – off on a rotational basis – 2 Fridays off a month)  If you work ½ day on Wed then you work Friday, if you work a full day on Wed, then you’re off on Friday)
• Hourly Range; $16 to $18/hr
