About Our Customer

A full-service logistics provider dedicated to offering innovative supply chain solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of clients in South Carolina and beyond. With a focus on reliability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, our customer specializes in transportation, warehousing, and distribution services that help businesses optimize their operations. They are currently seeking an Engine Crating Associate for their distribution center.

Hourly Rate: $19.50/hr

Work Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (Flexibility with weekends and OT)

What You'll Do

Measurement and Assembly

• Confirm proper fitment and clearances.
• Document all measurements and findings accurately.
• Must be able to read a tape measure and use a table saw to cut wood for blocking and bracing

Preparation and Packaging

• Detail engines to finished-product standards.
• Build shipping crates.
• Brace units securely for freight transport.
• Load finished crates for shipment.
• Be able to apply engine preservation materials for export

• Quality Control and Order Sign-Off

• Verify that every item on the customer order is packed, including the engine, components, accessories and documentation.
• Sign the packing slip to confirm the order is complete and accurate.
• Stop the process and escalate any issue before shipment, so every customer receives a complete, correct order.

What You Need to Qualify

• Ability to read a measuring tape and blueprints.

• Experience in Crate engines for shipping using precut crates and block & brace engines during loading.
• Experience in receiving and shipping checklists
• Must be able to drive a heavy lift/operate crane to assist lifting engines, and use pneumatic hand tools

• Understand and follow work instructions in English.
• Able to operate a nail gun, screwdrivers, hammer, and other hand and air tools.
• Work effectively in a team environment.
• Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
• Strong attention to detail.

What Physical Activities Will You Do?

• Frequently standing and walking throughout the workday.
• Frequently bending, crouching, stretching, and reaching.
• Frequently reading safety signs, product labels, and other workplace information.
• Frequently repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Frequently assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
• Occasionally moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces.
• Operate machinery and/or power tools.
• Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50lbs.
