We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator for a plastics manufacturing facility in Sumter, South Carolina. The ideal candidate will operate and monitor machinery to ensure efficient production of high-quality plastic products while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate plastic molding machines, extrusion equipment, or other production machinery.
  • Monitor machinery during operation to detect malfunctions or ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Adjust machine settings to optimize production output and minimize waste.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Accurately record production data and report any issues to the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proven experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment, preferably plastics.
  • Knowledge of machinery operation and maintenance.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Physical stamina to stand, lift, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and quality control standards in manufacturing.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends or overtime, if required.
