Autonomy Staffing is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to support our client, a leading manufacturer of high-quality commercial espresso and super-automatic bean-to-cup machines. Responsibilities:
- Contribute to new product development, sustaining engineering, and manufacturing support projects.
- Design and improve automated systems for espresso and bean-to-cup machines.
- Work hands-on with electromechanical and fluid systems, applying problem-solving skills in both R&D and production environments.
- Create and review engineering CAD models and drawings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, technical support, sales, and manufacturing.
- Ensure compliance with industry certifications such as UL, NSF, ETL, and CE.
- Continuously improve product designs and enhance the user experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- At least four years of engineering experience in product development, automation, or manufacturing support.
- Proficiency in motion control, pressure, temperature, and positional sensor systems.
- Strong skills in SolidWorks for design, analysis, and documentation.
- Knowledge of ANSI drawing standards, tolerancing, and GD&T.
- Ability to perform thermal, structural (static and dynamic), and flow analysis.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory testing and manufacturing troubleshooting.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with liquid dispensing systems.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Infor/Syteline.
- Understanding of manufacturing methodologies like Kaizen, just-in-time, and batch processing.
- Project management experience.
- Passion for coffee and knowledge of the industry.
- Experience with Smartsheet and firmware development.
Additional Details:
- This position requires on-site work in Renton, WA.
- Candidates must reside within commuting distance or be willing to relocate without assistance.
