DevOps Specialist

Role Overview

We are looking for a DevOps Specialist with 5+ years of related experience to join our team in Amman, Jordan. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing cloud infrastructure, automating deployments, ensuring system reliability, and improving CI/CD pipelines. This role requires expertise in cloud platforms, containerization, Linux operations, and security best practices to support and enhance our companys infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure Management Deploy, manage, and optimize cloud-based solutions with at least two major cloud providers (preferably including Oracle Cloud (OCI)).

CI/CD & Automation Implement and maintain Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for seamless software delivery.

Containerization & Orchestration Proficient in Docker; experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration tools is a plus.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Deploy and manage infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

Linux System Administration Manage and optimize Linux-based environments, ensuring security, scalability, and reliability.

Monitoring & Logging Set up and maintain monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Datadog for proactive system monitoring.

Security & Compliance Implement security best practices, ensuring compliance with cloud security frameworks and DevSecOps principles.

Collaboration & Support Work closely with development, security, and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

Scripting & Automation Develop scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate infrastructure tasks.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure management, CI/CD, containerization, and automation

Proficiency in Continuous Integration (CI) & Continuous Deployment (CD)

Expertise in Docker & Linux operations (Kubernetes experience is a strong plus)

Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure management (OCI preferred; additional AWS and GCP experiences are a plus)

Hands-on experience with database administration with experience working on MySQL and Postgresql databases.

Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills (Terraform/Ansible/CloudFormation)

Experience in software development and scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)

Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and security best practices

Problem-solving mindset & ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication & collaboration skills

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
