Role:

Responsible for providing HSE Management and support to the Well Engineering Team and QA /QC services with all drilling related service providers and vendors.


Experience and/or Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 years experience of Petroleum industry experience with a minimum of 6 years working in drilling related operations and a minimum of 4 years of site experience in an HSE Management role; excellent communication skills.
  • Root Cause Analysis training
  • Risk assessment training
  • Experience with a major oil company would be an advantage
  • Experience working in a Non-Safety Case environment would be an advantage
  • Experience working within Asia would be an advantage
  • Having train the trainer would be an advantage


Responsibilities:

  • Assure compliance with Company corporate and platform policies in current and future operations
  • Assure compliance with Government regulations in current and future operations
  • Develop and monitor Well Engineering quarterly and annual audits
  • Maintain Drilling EHS statistics and reporting to drilling management team
  • Provide support to Well Engineering / Offshore Site to assure integrity of emergency preparedness and be part of the ER team
  • Develop and implement fit for purpose Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes that support the Contractor Safety Management Systems and Bridging Document
  • Implement Quality Control Measures to ensure compliance within minimum training standards for offshore and onshore drilling contractors
  • Support and assist Offshore Site based HSE drilling advisors
  • Ensure all drilling related incidents / accidents are reported and investigated in a timely manner, lessons learned are effectively disseminated across the drilling team
  • Lead the Environmental Impact Assessment study and application process
  • Track all actions resulting from incident investigations to ensure effective close-out
  • Assist or Lead HiPo incident investigations
  • Develop practical solutions to support key environmental challenges, for example drilling fluids waste management
  • Work closely with drilling contractors and all service providers to establish HSE management systems and documentation and to deliver HSE performance improvements
  • Liaise with outside entities as and when required on HSE matters
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, service providers, and other operators
