About the job Onshore Supervisor

Job Purpose: To supervise CONTRACTORs technicians to carry out preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and inspection programs as instructed and assigned by COMPANY. He shall be responsible for trouble-shooting breakdowns, executing repairs and reports major problem to COMPANY. In addition, he shall summarize the progress and deficiency found and submit the close-out report to COMPANY at the end of each maintenance campaign. He shall closely communicate with Contract Manager and Planner to monitor the PM/CM status and plan/ execute as COMPANY requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Supervise the activities of assigned personnel in CONTRACTORs team. Determine priorities, allocate manpower and equipment/tools and ensure timely completion of jobs according to schedule and work permit.
  • Supervise shutdown activities and planned repair of various equipment and troubleshoot major jobs, diagnose major faults, determine optimal procedure/equipment, etc. to remedy and initiate repairs accordingly.
  • Develop and update preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment under responsibilities. Prepare programs according to changes in operating conditions. Ensure optimal efficiency and safety of such programs.
  • Evaluate performance of equipment and recommend modifications, as necessary to enhance safety, efficiency and cost optimization.
  • Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and to make recommendations to COMPANY.
  • Ensure that preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, routine and non-routine works are accurately and efficiently done within time frame,
  • Ensure that the works carried out, are of the highest levels of quality,
  • Ensure that tools and equipment at work site are kept in good working conditions,
  • Working knowledge of Maintenance Procedures,
  • Basic knowledge of QA/QC Standards, i.e. ISO 9001, ISO 14001,
  • Good knowledge/experience of SSHE requirements in a working environment,
  • Strong analytical thinking, technical skill and leadership skill.
  • Diagnosis and analysis problem skills for countermeasure at root cause

Professional Knowledge & Experience:

  • Higher Technical Diploma in Machine/Mechanic (Mechanical), Electrical/Electronic and/or Instrument (Electrical/Instrumental) or related fields or having COMPANYs recommendation from previous CONTRACT,
  • Minimum 5 years field working experience in maintenance of equipment in Offshore Oil and Gas industry or similar with minimum 2 years experience in supervisory level.
  • Possess a valid Basic Offshore Safety Training (BOSIET/T-BOSIET with CA-EBS) certificate from a recognized training provider.
  • Experience in turbine compressor equipment maintenance is an advantage (Mechanical),
  • Experience in HVAC/Refrigeration system maintenance is an advantage (Electrical),
  • Moderate physical effort of standing, walking, climbing for 50% of work time,
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • TOEIC 600 or Equivalent certification (If not possessive the certificate, Contractor shall commit to submit before contract commencement date.)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
