About the job Business Development Representative

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will act as the first contact for many of our prospects with the key objective of assistiing our sales team in selling our Managed IT Services, Cyber Security, and cloud services.

A successful BDR will possess a demonstrated ability to develop strong business relationships over the phone. They must be highly competitive, able to collaborate in a team environment, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. The BDR is responsible for partnering with the Director of Sales and Marketing in driving the early stages of the sales cycle and helping with new client acquisition. They will work closely with the sales team to follow up on marketing campaigns and email sequences with the goal of nurturing cold prospects into interested warm prospects, and setting qualified appointments with those prospects.

JOB OBJECTIVES:

- Meet or exceed assigned appointment-setting quota
- Follow up on prospects that have opened/clicked through prospecting emails to identify opportunities and provide appropriate levels of information at the right time for interested prospects.
Be responsible for educating and developing prospects, leading to a hand-off to the sales team or Director of Sales and Marketing
Create target prospect lists and send email sequences to prospects on those lists
Cold call prospects that have been generated by a variety of sources
Profile strategic accounts, identify key individuals, and begin the marketing process to those key players
Secure meetings for the sales leaders when a lead reaches a qualified stage
Nurture new leads by educating and developing prospects until they are ready to speak with the Director of Sales or a sales team member
Ensure successful follow-through of the sales cycle by maintaining accurate activity and records in the CRM (currently HubSpot)
Become well versed in our product and why clients would use it.
Create and maintain prospecting lists and update lead generation reports and forecasts
Develop outbound email campaigns and perform outbound sales activities
Ensure all activity is logged in HubSpot for reporting purposes

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum 4 years of BDR, SDR, or telephone sales running outbound enterprise B2B demand generation and lead generation activities in an MSP/Cyber Security/IT/Enterprise/SaaS/Cloud industry
Eloquent and self-confident communication with comfort speaking to C-Level USA based contacts
Able to express ideas in persuasive emails and other forms of communication
Creativity to think outside the box, with the leadership to execute on those thoughts/ideas effectively
Experience using sales/marketing automation tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce.com, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to influence others
Able to convey a sense of urgency and drive issues to closure without being aggressive
Mature and confident
Strong interpersonal skills and a team player
Attention to detail, particularly when it comes to inputting data in HubSpot
College degree preferred
