We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Team Leader to manage a team of accountants and bookkeepers servicing our US-based clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in US GAAP, accounting operations, team leadership, and client management. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery, compliance with financial standards, and team development.

Key Responsiblities: 

Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of accountants and bookkeepers.

  • Monitor team performance and conduct regular performance reviews.

  • Organize workflow, set priorities, and ensure timely delivery of client work.

  • Provide training and development to team members to ensure adherence to best practices and client expectations.

Client Coordination:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for US clients, addressing inquiries, providing updates, and ensuring satisfaction.

  • Understand and interpret client-specific needs and translate them into operational instructions.

  • Maintain strong, long-term client relationships through excellent communication and service delivery.

Accounting Oversight:

  • Oversee daily bookkeeping, month-end, and year-end close processes.

  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports prepared by team members.

  • Ensure compliance with US accounting standards (GAAP) and applicable tax regulations.

  • Coordinate with tax professionals and auditors when needed.

Quality Control & Reporting:

  • Review and approve work completed by the team for accuracy and compliance.

  • Develop and implement internal controls and quality assurance processes.

  • Generate and present regular status reports to senior management.


Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA preferred).

Experience: 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online/Desktop, Xero, NetSuite, etc.)

Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting/tax principles.

Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze and interpret data.
