About the job Team Leader - Accounting and Bookeeping
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Team Leader to manage a team of accountants and bookkeepers servicing our US-based clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in US GAAP, accounting operations, team leadership, and client management. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery, compliance with financial standards, and team development.
Key Responsiblities:
Team Management:

Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of accountants and bookkeepers.

Monitor team performance and conduct regular performance reviews.

Organize workflow, set priorities, and ensure timely delivery of client work.

Provide training and development to team members to ensure adherence to best practices and client expectations.
Client Coordination:

Serve as the main point of contact for US clients, addressing inquiries, providing updates, and ensuring satisfaction.

Understand and interpret client-specific needs and translate them into operational instructions.

Maintain strong, long-term client relationships through excellent communication and service delivery.
Accounting Oversight:

Oversee daily bookkeeping, month-end, and year-end close processes.

Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports prepared by team members.

Ensure compliance with US accounting standards (GAAP) and applicable tax regulations.

Coordinate with tax professionals and auditors when needed.
Quality Control & Reporting:

Review and approve work completed by the team for accuracy and compliance.

Develop and implement internal controls and quality assurance processes.

Generate and present regular status reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA preferred).
Experience: 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online/Desktop, Xero, NetSuite, etc.)
Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting/tax principles.
Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze and interpret data.
