Bookkeeper

Key Responsibilities:

Handle 200-300 line items per seller

Perform end-of-month reporting and data interpretation

Identify and correct records from February onwards

Locate discrepancies and missing funds in financial data

Ensure accuracy and consistency in financial records

Provide insights and detailed reports on financial data

Manage and maintain accurate financial records for clients, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations

Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and potential issues

Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including tax laws and accounting standards

Communicate with clients to provide financial updates and answer any questions or concerns

Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks

Continuously identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations

Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure compliance and provide valuable insights to clients

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field

• Proficiency in Google Sheets

• Strong background in reconciliation

• Strong analytical and numerical skills

• Ability to manage large datasets

• Keen attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to identify and correct mistakes in financial records

• Familiarity with Xero is a plus, but not required

• Background in accountancy is not necessary; engineers with a love for numbers are welcome
