Informatica Developer

As an Informatica Developer with expertise in both Informatica and Boomi, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining data integration processes. You will work on extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from various sources to support enterprise-level integration, data warehousing, and cloud solutions. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in both ETL and iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service), specifically with Boomi.

Key Responsibilities:

• ETL Development: Design, develop, test, and implement ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter and Boomi to support data warehouse and integration projects.
• Boomi Integration: Develop, configure, and deploy integrations using Boomi to enable seamless data flow between cloud-based and on-premise applications.
• Data Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and integrate data from various sources like relational databases, flat files, APIs, and cloud services.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze and improve ETL and Boomi job performance by optimizing data flow, system resources, and overall performance.
• Data Mapping & Transformation: Develop data mappings, workflows, and transformations to ensure high-quality data integration and validation.
• Troubleshooting & Debugging: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within ETL workflows, Boomi integrations, and mappings. Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions.
• Data Validation & Quality: Ensure data accuracy and consistency by implementing robust data quality and validation rules within ETL and Boomi processes.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for all ETL workflows, Boomi integrations, data models, and processes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Data Architects, Analysts, and BI developers to ensure data alignment with business requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica and Boomi or similar iPaaS tools.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and database management systems (DBMS).
• Proficient in SQL and experience working with large relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc.).
• Experience with data modeling, data mapping, workflow creation, and cloud-to-cloud and cloud-to-on-premise integrations.
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization of ETL and Boomi processes.
• Knowledge of API integration using Boomi (REST/SOAP), and experience with API management tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Informatica and Boomi certifications are a plus.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Informatica Cloud and other Informatica tools (e.g., Informatica Data Quality, MDM).
• Experience with other ETL and integration tools like SSIS, Talend, or DataStage.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
