Attention To Dental is recruiting for an experienced Dentist to join a growing practice in central Ballarat.

This is not a large corporate dental group, and it is not a traditional private practice where the Dentist is expected to carry the weight of running the business. The Opportunity

The practice is continuing to grow and is open to both full-time and part-time Dentists.

For someone looking for part-time hours, the preferred days are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, with a minimum commitment of two of those days. Full-time applicants are also encouraged to apply, with capacity for the practice to continue expanding for the right clinicians.

Clinic hours are 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday, with a team meeting held from 8:00am on Tuesday mornings.

There is already a strong patient list in place, together with a healthy pipeline of new patients, so this is an opportunity to step into an established clinical environment rather than waiting for a patient base to build.

Clinical Scope

The practice currently provides a broad mix of general and preventative dentistry, including restorative, cosmetic and emergency care.

There is also scope for the successful Dentist to further develop particular areas of clinical interest over time. If there is an area of dentistry you particularly enjoy, the team is open to discussing how that may complement the needs of the existing patient base and local community.

About You

Our client is looking for an experienced Dentist who is clinically confident, professional and genuinely invested in the patient experience.

Just as importantly, you will be someone who communicates well with people, works collaboratively with the broader team and maintains high standards of clinical care and documentation.

Ideally, you will bring:

• A minimum of 2–3 years of demonstrated Australian dental experience
• Ideally 5+ years of experience
• Current Australian registration
• A Bachelor of Dentistry or equivalent recognised qualification
• The ability to manage your patients independently from commencement
• Strong clinical notes and governance standards
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good time management and respect for patients' time
• A patient-first approach
• An interest in preventative dentistry and long-term patient relationships
• A collaborative attitude and willingness to work as part of the broader team
• Previous experience using dental practice software

The practice currently uses Exact, so familiarity with Exact would be advantageous, although broader dental software experience is also valued.

Overseas-trained Dentists are welcome to apply where they hold the required Australian registration and have the Australian clinical experience needed for the role.

Remuneration

The role offers 40% of billings less laboratory fees.
