Location: Alpharetta, GA OR Gainesville, GA
Salary: $130K-$205K/yr DOE
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Tax Manager to join our growing team.This individual will serve as a hands-on leader and technical resource, responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients across individual, partnership, and corporate tax engagements. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded generalist with strong expertise in State & Local Tax (SALT), and the ability to independently review and sign tax returns.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and sign a variety of tax returns, including:

Individual returns (1040s)

Partnerships (1065s)

S Corporations (1120S)

Individual returns (1040s)

Provide technical oversight and guidance on complex tax matters, particularly related to SALT

Manage client relationships, serving as a primary point of contact for tax planning and compliance

Lead and mentor staff and senior associates, reviewing work and providing constructive feedback

Identify tax planning opportunities and proactively advise clients on strategies to minimize tax liability

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations

Stay current on changing tax laws and communicate impacts to clients and internal teams
- Collaborate with partners on high-level tax strategy and firm initiatives
- Review and sign a variety of tax returns, including:
Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
- B.S. in Accounting or Taxation (Masters degree is a plus)
- Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience
- Strong experience with State & Local Tax (SALT)
- Experience with Partnerships (1065), S-Corps (1120S), and Individual returns (1040)
- Proven ability to review and sign tax returns
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior experience mentoring or managing junior staff
- Experience managing client relationships and leading engagements
