Job Description – Line Producer

The Line Producer is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production lifecycle of one or more shows, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest creative and technical standards.

Working closely with Executive Producers, VFX Supervisors, Production Managers and Department Leads, the Line Producer drives strategic planning, financial oversight, resource management and cross-department coordination to successfully execute complex VFX productions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee overall show planning, budgeting and scheduling from award through final delivery.
  • Translate bids into executable production strategies aligned with creative and financial targets.
  • Monitor show health — tracking cost-to-date, forecasted spend, burn rate, and resource allocation.
  • Partner with VFX Supervisors and Department Leads to ensure creative goals are achieved within approved budgets and timelines.
  • Identify risks early (schedule, capacity, technical, financial) and implement mitigation plans.
  • Manage cross-site coordination when shows involve multiple studio locations.
  • Lead client-facing production communications in collaboration with Executive Producers.
  • Oversee quota planning, inventory management and milestone deliveries.
  • Drive operational efficiency and ensure best practices across production workflows.
  • Mentor and support Production Managers, Senior PCs and Coordinators on the show.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in VFX production, with significant experience at Production Manager or Senior PM level.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing large-scale VFX budgets.
  • Deep understanding of VFX pipelines and multi-discipline workflows.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, high-volume shows.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire and align cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with international clients and multi-site studios preferred.
