Job Description

As a Pipeline Developer at Atomic Arts, you play a vital role in designing, developing, and maintaining the technological framework that enables the creation and delivery of top-notch visual effects for films, television shows, and various media projects. Your collaboration with artists, supervisors, and fellow technical team members will involve the creation of production pipelines that are both efficient and resilient.


Key Responsibilities:

  • You will work closely with the production and technical teams to collaborate on the design and development of a VFX pipeline that is efficient and scalable.

  • Your responsibilities will include implementing tools, scripts, and plugins that automate and streamline different aspects of the production process.

  • You will be tasked with developing customized software solutions to meet specific production requirements and overcome challenges. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for pipeline components, workflows, and processes.

  • You will be responsible for implementing version control systems and ensuring effective asset management and data organization across the entire pipeline.


Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, or a related discipline is required.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and/or other pertinent languages utilized in VFX pipeline development is essential.

  • Having a strong understanding of AI will provide a competitive edge.

  • Having hands-on experience with VFX software packages like Autodesk Maya, SideFX Houdini, Foundry Nuke, and Adobe After Effects is valuable.

  • Demonstrating expertise in developing tools and plugins using APIs and SDKs offered by VFX software, as well as possessing knowledge of industry-standard VFX pipeline tools and frameworks like Shotgun, Deadline, and OpenColorIO, is highly advantageous.

  • Having strong problem-solving skills and the capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment is crucial.

  • Having previous experience of working with the AI and VFX industry is highly preferred.
