Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and creative Unreal Lighting Technical Director to join our dynamic team. As an Unreal Lighting TD at Atomic Arts India, you will play a crucial role in crafting visually stunning and immersive experiences using Unreal Engine. While our company's focus extends beyond gaming, your expertise in gaming technology will be instrumental in pushing the boundaries of interactive simulations and virtual environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the creative and technical teams to understand project requirements and artistic vision.

  • Utilize your expertise in Unreal Engine to design, implement, and optimize lighting setups for real-time environments.

  • Develop and implement lighting techniques to enhance visual fidelity, atmosphere, and mood.

  • Work with artists to ensure consistency and quality across lighting elements in the project.

  • Troubleshoot and debug lighting issues to ensure optimal performance on target platforms.

  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in real-time lighting technology.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Proven experience as a Lighting Artist or Lighting Technical Director in the gaming industry.

  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine and experience with its lighting and rendering systems.

  • Strong understanding of lighting principles, color theory, and composition.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.

  • Portfolio demonstrating expertise in lighting and real-time rendering, with examples from gaming projects preferred.


Preferred skills:

  • Experience with other real-time engines such as Unity or CryEngine.

  • Familiarity with shader programming languages (e.g., HLSL, GLSL).

  • Knowledge of post-processing effects and techniques.

  • Experience with VR/AR development is a plus.
