Job Brief

Our client, a leading global software and cloud solutions provider, is looking for an experienced Data Analytics Consultant to join their team. This role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining solutions on Microsoft Azure, focusing on big data technologies and Power BI.

Core Responsibilities

Data Engineering:

• Azure Solutions: Design, deploy, and maintain solutions using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse, ADLS, Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, SQL Database, Power BI, Azure ML, and Azure Databricks.
• Big Data Solutions: Manage the full life cycle of Data Lake / Big Data solutions, from requirements gathering to architecture design and deployment.
• Scalable Solutions: Implement scalable solutions on the cloud, collaborating with business domain experts, data scientists, and application developers.
• Innovation: Explore new technologies for creative problem-solving and mentor a team of data engineers.

Power BI:

• Data Models: Design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights.
• Dashboard Creation: Create interactive visual reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• KPI Monitoring: Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor them.
• ETL Process: Analyze current ETL processes and design new systems to enhance existing Business Intelligence systems.
• Advanced Analytics: Perform DAX queries, create custom calculations, and develop tabular/multidimensional data models.
• Collaboration: Work with users and team members at all levels to improve performance and provide suggestions.

Requirements

Technical Skills:

• Azure Expertise: 5+ years of technical experience with at least 3 years on Azure.
• Programming: Strong skills in SQL, Python, and optionally Scala/Java. Experience in building REST services is a plus.
• CI/CD: Good understanding and experience with CI/CD using Git, Jenkins/Azure DevOps.
• Big Data: Familiarity with big data techniques such as Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, and Spark is a plus.
• Machine Learning: Experience deploying machine learning solutions into production environments.

Power BI:

• Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with Power BI components.
• Data Visualization: Skilled in creating dashboards, reports, and custom calculations.
• General Skills:
• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Communication: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Problem-Solving: Understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, or data mining concepts with a track record of solving problems.

Qualifications

• Data Science Support: Experience supporting data science teams in secure data consumption.
• NoSQL Databases: Experience using NoSQL databases and data modeling in Hive.
• Azure DevOps: Understanding of branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Passion: A strong passion for data-driven decision-making.

Expectations

• Reporting: Report to the practice lead.
• Collaboration: Work with the sales team to develop opportunities and solution proposals.
• Project Work: Collaborate within project teams to develop and test data analytics solutions.
• Documentation: Assist in preparing manuals, specifications, and other technical documents.
• Support: Support deployment releases and manage user requirements.
