Job Brief

Our client, a leading global software and cloud solutions provider, is looking for an experienced Cloud Services Consultant (Azure) to join their team. This role involves designing and executing cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure, focusing on automation, scalability, and reliability.

Core Responsibilities

Professional Services (Implementation/Deployments):

• Cloud Infrastructure Design: Develop and deploy cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and methodologies.
• Automation: Create reusable templates and scripts for consistent and efficient Azure resource provisioning.
• ARM Templates: Utilize Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates for defining and managing Azure infrastructure.
• Infrastructure Management: Enhance Azure cloud environments through version-controlled code, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Implement and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for infrastructure deployment.

Support Services:

• Technical Support: Provide second-line support for Azure environments, resolving technical incidents and service requests.
• Cloud Management: Develop Cloud Management Portals to improve monitoring, management, and reporting.
• Security and Compliance: Assist in creating and enforcing Cloud Security and Compliance Policies.
• Governance: Establish Cloud Governance Frameworks and conduct governance reviews.
• Incident Analysis: Analyze trends in incidents to recommend proactive measures.
• Collaboration: Work with Level 1 and Level 3 support teams to ensure timely issue resolution.

Requirements

Professional Services:

• Azure Expertise: Proficiency in designing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• IaC Tools: Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure Bicep.
• Automation: Expertise in developing automation scripts for Azure resource provisioning and configuration.
• CI/CD Principles: Familiarity with CI/CD principles and experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues.

Support Services:

• Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in designing and building cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure, with 3-4 years in a customer-facing technology support role.
• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert are preferred.

Expectations

• Report to Practice Lead: Work closely with the practice lead.
• Opportunity Development: Collaborate with the sales team to develop opportunities and solution proposals.
• Project Collaboration: Work within project teams to develop and test cloud solutions.
• Technical Documentation: Assist in preparing manuals, specifications, and other technical documents.
• Deployment Support: Support deployment releases and manage user requirements.
