Atlantic Talent is proud to be partnered with an innovative financial services firm based in London, UK. Our client is currently in the process of completing an extensive digital transformation, and migrating their full operation to the cloud. They are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join and strengthen their existing cybersecurity team to help safeguard all systems and data.

Role Responsibilities:

  • This is a hybrid role, so will require 1-2 days in the London office each week.
  • Supervise networks, systems, and platforms to detect security threats, attacks, and unusual activities.
  • Deploy and oversee cybersecurity technology platforms including antivirus software, Data Loss Prevention, encryption tools, and Privileged Access Management systems.
  • Contribute to technology strategies and product selections to address security developments and requests by integrating and upgrading cybersecurity technologies.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding cybersecurity matters and recommendations.
  • Resolve any service incidents within agreed SLAs. 

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a cybersecurity engineer or operating within a similar cybersecurity role.
  • Bachelor's and MSc in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
  • Practical understanding of fundamental infrastructure technologies, including Active Directory, Windows Workstation and Server, Linux systems, networking principles, and cloud services.
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Exceptional team collaboration and communication skills.
  • Understanding of current Cyber Security technology trends.
  • Financial services experience is desirable but not essential.
