Job Description:

Our company is searching for a Lead Control Systems Engineer with Corporate level responsibility for strategic support of multiple chemical plant sites. Requires solid technical expertise in process automation, SIS, instrumentation; interface, and networking of DCS and PLC Systems. Offering excellent salary, bonus, and relocation options.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide control system expertise to operating facilities.
  • Develop and maintain a process control program for Process Automation and Safety Instrumented Systems.
  • Manage process issue resolution and problem-solving activities.
  • Ensure compliance with industry, regulatory, and company standards.
  • Identify cost reduction and defect elimination opportunities.
  • Support procurement and management of spare parts.
  • Develop and implement engineering standards, procedures, and practices.
  • Provide technical advice for operation and maintenance teams.
  • Develop plant changes for safety, reliability, and cost reduction.
  • Troubleshoot failures using root cause analysis.
  • Keep documentation, software configurations, and data up to date.
  • Assist in budget management and act as the focal point for systems vendors maintenance contracts.
  • Drive improvement in process safety, emissions, and ESG targets.
  • Ensure hazard identification and risk management processes are in place.

Qualifications:

  • BS Chemical Engineering or related degree with 8+ years experience as a Process Control Systems Engineer in chemical, refinery, or related process manufacturing plants.
  • Proficient in Process Automation and Safety Instrumented Systems, interfaces, protocols, measuring methods, field instruments, and actuated valves.
  • Preferred experience in Yokogawa or Emerson's Delta V DCS systems, and PLC systems including Honeywell and Rockwell.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to provide timely technical advice.
