About the Role
Reporting to the Logistics & Fleet Manager, the Logistics Supervisor will oversee factory and branch logistics activities and support dependable distribution across Saudi Arabia. The role is responsible for transportation performance, delivery planning, fleet and 3PL coordination, logistics administration, regulatory and quality compliance, and the development of logistics teams. The position requires a hands-on leader who can balance service, cost, safety, and operational discipline in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise logistics activities across the factory, branches, and distribution points to ensure the right products reach the right customers on time, in full, at the required quality, and at the right cost.
- Manage transport and distribution performance, including DIFOT, vehicle utilization, service levels, delivery reliability, and transportation cost against budget.
- Plan and route delivery orders using SAP and relevant delivery-planning platforms such as SalesBuzz, Routnet, or equivalent systems.
- Coordinate the availability, maintenance, and compliant operation of company-owned and third-party vehicles in line with Saudi standards and transportation requirements.
- Ensure adequate delivery-van capacity for efficient secondary distribution and pre-sales channel requirements.
- Evaluate and negotiate with transport service providers, support contract finalization with relevant functions, allocate share of business, and pursue sustainable cost improvements.
- Review transporter invoices promptly, coordinate purchase requisitions in SAP, and maintain accurate logistics MIS, rate, budget, and shared operational records.
- Prepare approved purchase requisitions for branch facility upgrades and maintenance, ensuring all supporting approvals are complete.
- Partner closely with warehouse, planning, sales coordination, demand and supply planning, fleet, and branch teams to align distribution priorities and resolve operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, GMP, HACCP, ISO, and applicable Saudi quality requirements; lead corrective actions and continuous improvement follow-up.
- Lead, motivate, coach, and develop a multicultural logistics team while promoting accountability, customer service, high morale, and operational excellence.
Candidate Profile & Competencies
- Minimum three years of logistics management experience, including at least two years in logistics planning and operations.
- Strong FMCG experience, preferably in food manufacturing, with practical exposure to warehouse operations, transport, and distribution.
- Sound knowledge of the end-to-end supply chain value chain and logistics performance management.
- Good understanding of Saudi Arabia's transportation regulations, logistics requirements, applicable standards, and local market practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office and computer applications; SAP knowledge is highly preferred, and exposure to route-planning systems is an advantage.
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and influencing capabilities with a strong internal and external customer focus.
- Demonstrated leadership, team-building, employee development, and change-improvement capability in a multicultural environment.
- Professional proficiency in English; Arabic fluency is mandatory.
