Position: Bookkeeper
Location: Remote (U.S. hours Pacific Time or Eastern Time, depending on company needs)
Schedule: 40hrs/week

Summary:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting the finance team with reporting and reconciliations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced with U.S.-based accounting standards.
Responsibilities:
Record and maintain accurate financial transactions (AP/AR, general ledger entries).
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor accounts.
Process payroll and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (if applicable).
Prepare and issue invoices; monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding balances.
Maintain financial records in compliance with company policies and accounting best practices.
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Support tax preparation activities in collaboration with external accountants.
Identify process improvements for efficiency in bookkeeping tasks.
Qualifications:
3+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience (U.S. experience required).
Strong knowledge of GAAP and U.S. accounting practices.
Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (or other major accounting software).
Experience with payroll systems is a plus (ADP, Gusto, Paychex, etc.).
Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage confidential information with integrity.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
