Position: Bookkeeper
Location: Remote (U.S. hours Pacific Time or Eastern Time, depending on company needs)
Schedule: 40hrs/week

Summary:

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting the finance team with reporting and reconciliations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced with U.S.-based accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions (AP/AR, general ledger entries).

  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor accounts.

  • Process payroll and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (if applicable).

  • Prepare and issue invoices; monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding balances.

  • Maintain financial records in compliance with company policies and accounting best practices.

  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  • Support tax preparation activities in collaboration with external accountants.

  • Identify process improvements for efficiency in bookkeeping tasks.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience (U.S. experience required).

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and U.S. accounting practices.

  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (or other major accounting software).

  • Experience with payroll systems is a plus (ADP, Gusto, Paychex, etc.).

  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage confidential information with integrity.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
